Ruth Kaluski
This site is dedicated to the photography of Ruth Kaluski. Ruth escaped Nazi Germany with her immediate family in 1934 and was among the founding members of Kibbutz Revivim, where she lived until her passing in 2023. She contributed to building a nation and served as a witness to its growth over decades.
With her 35mm reflex camera, Ruth captured a unique perspective, opening a window into the soul of the people and landscapes she encountered. Through her photography, she preserved moments in time from the life of the kibbutz and the evolving State of Israel. Her love for humanity, nature, and her country shines through her body of work.
In presenting this collection of her artwork, we hope to transport you to the special moments and landscapes experienced by the residents of Kibbutz Revivim and the people of Israel.
